Helsinki, Finland’s capital and largest city, is situated in the south, on the Gulf of Finland. Helsinki was founded in 1550 and its current population is approximately 560,000.
Helsinki and the neighbouring towns of Espoo and Vantaa form the metropolitan region which is now home to almost a million people.

The Helsinki Fair Centre is Finland’s largest trade fair and conference venue that attracts more than a million visitors a year. It is situated about three kilometres north of central Helsinki.
The Helsinki Fair Centre can be reached by train, tram or bus. All trains from Helsinki stop at the Pasila Station, 300 metres from the Fair Centre. Trams number 7A and 7B and bus number 17 stop nearby.
