ASEM 6 press briefings

The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and Finnish missions all around the world held press briefings on the ASEM 6 for the media. Some of the briefings were organised in cooperation with the European Commission.

Brussels, Finland's Permanent Representation to the EU, 4 September 2006,

The press conference was hosted by Mr Eikka Kosonen, Permanent Representative of Finland to the EU. Counsellor Jyrki Kallio from the ASEM 6 Secretariat made a presentation on expectations regarding the Summit together with Mr Geoffrey Barrett, ASEM Co-ordinator from the European Commission. In addition, Mr Ulf Dahlsten, Director for Emerging Technologies and Infrastructures - Applications, European Commission, and Mr David West, Project Co-ordinator from DANTE presented the Trans-Eurasia Information Network (TEIN2).
